This series is for the enthusiast who likes to see and hear steam locomotives hard at work. With our collection going back 21 years, we feature the most infamous gradients on the national network. Another aspect of this series is the rarity of many of the sequences the like of which will never be repeated. Although they feature, in the main, shots already published in the 'Mainline' series, some previously unseen footage is also included and some sequences run longer. Programmes do not include a commentary but feature onscreen loco details, gradients and dates.
